Ashley Hammett

Ashley is a born-and-raised San Diegan who began to develop a love for lifting in a local strength and conditioning gym by the age of nine. As a senior in high school she developed and facilitated a strength and conditioning program for her high school’s JV and Varsity basketball team.

After this, Ashley obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy through San Diego State University. During her undergraduate career, she began an internship with 1RM Performance in January 2018, and soon after she became a Certified Personal Trainer, as well as part of the 1RM Coaching Staff. She spent two semesters as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Exercise Physiology lab, focusing on projects regarding Sports Performance.

In addition to experience in the gym, lab, and classroom, Ashley has nearly two years of experience facilitating corrective exercise in a clinical Physical Therapy setting as a Physical Therapy Aide and Personal Trainer.

Ashley also puts her knowledge to use through her role as a co-director and clinic coordinator for Refugee Health Alliance, where she has helped members of at-risk populations relieve pain caused by musculoskeletal imbalances through corrective exercise and health education.

Ashley is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology who has applied her education in numerous settings. She is committed to helping you and/or your athlete achieve goals through science-based training methods, hard work, and personal connection.
